Referring to reported statement of the Chief Minister in which he had said that Prof Sabharwal’s death was not a murder but an accident, Jamuna Devi said that feeding ‘wrong’ information to police during investigation was a crime under provision of the IPC under sections 199, 200, 201, 202, 203 and 186.

She further stated that Chief Minister’s residence in Delhi was being used by the ABVP for campaign management at Delhi University. It further buttressed the point that Chief Minister was himself involved in Ujjain incident, she alleged.

Meanwhile, State Congress spokesperson Manak Agrawal has demanded that statement of the peon at Madhav College in Ujjain, Komal Singh Sengar, who is the only eyewitness of assault on Prof Sabharwal’s, should be recorded by a magistrate in the presence of five senior lawyers from Ujjain.
