This time, the Congress leader provided some documents to the Governor indicating that the RSS was a political organisation and requested him to direct the State Government to withdraw the controversial order.

“The RSS is not a cultural organisation but a political organisation and has shown clear intentions to remain as a political party,” she said.

The veteran Congress leader said that the Jammu Statehood Morcha, which the RSS constituted for contesting election in the Assembly elections in the year 2002, was a clear proof that the RSS is a political organisation.

She alleged that not only the so-called cultural organisation had formed a political outfit but also fielded 12 candidates in aforesaid assembly elections. Jamuna Devi urged the Governor to take up the issue with the State Government so that people of the State could not be misled any more and the real status of the RSS as a political organisation came out.
