HUNDREDS OF mourners, including top BJP and Congress leaders, on Saturday accompanied social worker Jamunadas Lalwani on his last journey to the Juni Indore cremation ground.
Lalwani, father of IMC Speaker Shankar Lalwani, breathed his last on Friday after a prolonged illness. PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan, City BJP chief Ramesh Mendola his Congress counterpart Pramod Tandon, MLAs Laxman Singh Gaud and Mahendra Hardia, Chairman, IDA Madhu Verma and leader of the Opposition in the IMC Suresh Minda accompanied the funeral procession that began from the Lalwani residence at 11 am.
Large numbers of the Sindhi community including Indore Sindhi Central Panchayat office-bearer Motiram Thadani as well as leaders of the Gujarati and Sikh communities offered tributes to Jamunadas at a condolence meeting held at the crematorium ground.
