A local court on Monday rejected the bail pleas of four of the five accused in the rape of a Japanese woman at a Pushkar hotel last month and framed charges separately against all of them.
Judge Mahaveer Prasad Sharma rejected the bail applications of Roshni, Raju, Sanjay and Raju alias Shahi while the hotel owner's son Bablu, who is the main accused in the case, did not appeal for for bail.
He was charged by the court with raping the Japanese tourist, cheating her of Rs 54,000 and criminal conspiracy under Sections 376, 420, and 120-b of the IPC.
Bablu's mother Roshni, brother Raju, and two friends Sanjay and Raju alias Shahi were accused of conspiracy and cheating, the judge said, while framing the charges against them.
The police in Pushkar filed the charges against the five accused in Judicial Magistrate Kailash Chandra's court on May 10.
In a fax message from Agra on April 18, the Japanese woman had alleged that she was raped and robbed of Rs 54,000 after being drugged by Bablu on April 2.
Taking cognisance of the faxed message, police arrested the five and sought their police remand for interrogation. The suspects have also been paraded before the victim for identification.
