A year after the primetime daily was launched on Sony, the braces are intact and so is the Audrey Hepburn-inspired hairdo. Despite her protests that she’s Jasmeet Walia in real life too, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin girl Mona Singh has come to terms with her celebrity status in real life.
While the channel devises new marketing strategies (which include a cover stamp for Jassi and a dailywear collection inspired by Jassi’s wardrobe and designed by Satya Paul) and twists in the tale to give the not-so-impressive TRPs a boost, Mona works 16 X7 and just comes home to sleep.
“Staying alone is tough and I miss someone to talk to but then co-stars Apoorva (Agnihotri), Rakshanda (Khan) and Parmeet (Sethi) feed me home-cooked food often.”
The MBA from Bombay University admits that being a celebrity brings with it “a lot of responsibility.”
