The Jaswant Singh row dominated the last day of Bharatiya Janta Party's (BJP) chintak baithak'. BJP Spokesperson Sushma Swaraj defended Singh's expulsion over the controversial book on Jinnah, saying that he denigrated the great efforts of Sardar Patel.

Swaraj also added that LK Advani was of the opinion that Singh's sacking was unpleasant but necessary.
Speaking on the strategy for the future, Sushma Swaraj said that coalition was necessary to take on the Congress and also there was a need to introspect why BJP lost two General Elections.
