Jaswant's office will reply to PMO's remarks: BJP

Pushed on the defensive by its leader Jaswant Singh's references to the mole in Narasimha Rao government, the BJP on Sunday said Singh's office would give reply to the Prime Minister Office's comments today that the letter of the former union minister to Manmohan Singh did not name the informer.

"The reply will come from Jaswant Singh's office," BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad, whose party is maintaining distance from the mole row, said.

The leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha was not immediately available for comments.
