A jawan was killed and another injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control in Jammu district, defence officials said on Saturday.
During a clearing operation in Pallanwala forward area, a mine exploded killing sepoy Amrit Pal Singh of 12 Sikh regiment and injured another jawan lance naik Manjit Singh on Friday evening.

The injured jawan has been admitted to a army hospital.
