When the matter came up before judge I S Antin, Jayalalithaa's counsel Navaneet Krishnan argued his client was entitled for the documents in accordance with the law. He also said so far the third investigation report had not been filed in the London Hotel case.

Disagreeing with the contention of defense counsel, the Judge questioned the locus standi of the accused in seeking such documents.

On April 30, the Tamil Nadu Government filed an application before the court seeking permission to withdraw the London Hotel case in which Jayalalithaa and four others, including former AIADMK MP, T T V Dinakaran, are the accused.

Jayalalithaa had on May 25 moved an application seeking documents on the strength of which the Tamil Nadu government was withdrawing the case against her.
