“Though I am endorsing Kensville’s quality, on the design front I will be assisting Colonel (KD) Bagga (the original designer) so it will be a Col Bagga and Jeev Milkha Singh Signature Golf Course,” Jeev, the world No 34, told
Hindustan Times. The club though, will dub itself the “Jeev Milkha Singh Signature Golf Course.”

The management originally wanted someone like Norman or Arnold Palmer to design the course but following Jeev’s spectacular rise in 2008, they opted for the Indian ace.

Sameer Sinha, managing director of Kensville, said: “Though Jeev had consented through e-mail and his agent, we were unable to meet because of his schedule,” he said. The two parties finally signed an MoU during the Hero Honda Indian Open here in October.
