Actress Jessica Alba has forgiven Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine, for putting her on the cover of the March 2006 issue after he pledged to donate a good amount of money to charities of her choice.

According to Contactmusic, Alba threatened to take legal action when the magazine tricked Columbia Pictures into allowing them to use a promotional shot from the upcoming movie Into The Blue after she had refused to pose for a fee.
Hefner wrote Alba a personal letter of apology. He apologised for "any distress unintentionally caused by the publication of your photo".
He added: "What was intended as a tribute to your tremendous popularity has been misinterpreted by some as something else for which we are truly sorry since we are among your biggest fans."
Alba said: "In light of Mr. Hefner's personal apology for Playboy's unauthorised use of my photo on their cover, I have decided to discontinue my claims against them."
