For the third time within a fortnight, the Delhi High Court on Friday declined to grant anticipatory bail to Chandigarh-based doctor JS Bedi, charged with issuing false medical certificates to one of the accused in the Jessica Lall murder case.

Vacation Judge Justice Mukul Mudgal, however, referred the plea to be heard before the division bench which is hearing the appeal filed by the Delhi Police against the acquittal of all the nine accused by the trial judge.

Justice Mudgal refrained from granting any interim relief to Bedi, despite senior counsel KTS Tulsi putting up a nearly 30-minute argument on behalf of the beleaguered doctor.
