Jet profit up on seat factor

India’s largest private airline Jet Airways on Wednesday reported a 12.0% year-on-year growth in net profit at Rs 118.2 crore for the October-December quarter on the back of a 15% increase in passenger traffic.

India’s largest private airline Jet Airways on Wednesday reported a 12.0% year-on-year growth in net profit at Rs 118.2 crore for the October-December quarter on the back of a 15% increase in passenger traffic.

Revenues grew 20% during the quarter to Rs 3474.6 crore.

The airline achieved 82.6% seat factor in the third quarter against 78.8% in the year-ago period. It carried 39.4 lakh passengers in the three-month period ended December.

The airlines’ international operations earned Rs 1,936.0 crore, accounting for 55% of the company’s total revenue.
