Talking to mediapersons, Rajbal Singh Saharan said, "I am not against anybody, Jindal or Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda or others. I am against the system which makes false promises to capture votes."

Narrating the incident, the 64-year-old said he was going home in an inebriated condition when he met the elder brother of a Congress leader, who took him to the meeting, addressed by Jindal.

Saharan said as he was upset over his son Rajender Singh losing his job at Kurukshetra University last year along with 75 other data-entry operators, he could not bear Jindal enumerating Congress' achievements to garner votes.

When Jindal claimed that the Congress government had done a lot for the youths he tried to interrupt him but was stopped by people sitting around him following which he stood up and threw his shoe towards the dais to lodge his protest, he said.
