The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) on Wednesday charged that Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal was 'hinted' at by the government of the CBI action in the coal scam and that was why he was camping outside the country for so long.
Addressing a joint press conference in Hisar, HJC chief Kuldeep Bishnoi and state BJP chief Ram Bilas Sharma charged that the Jindals were tipped-off about the CBI raids at Jindal-owned companies, which were conducted by the country's premier investigative agency last week. "We fear that they knew about the raids. Even a week after the raids, nothing has come out. He (Naveen Jindal) should be brought back and tried under the laws of the country," Ram Bilas Sharma said.
The two leaders said for the ongoing Jail Bharo agitation on June 25 against 'corruption' and 'misrule' of the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre, Kuldeep Bishnoi would lead the stir in Hisar and Ram Bilas Sharma in Mahendergarh. They would also take up the issue of lathicharge on BJP and HJC workers during Jjail Bharo agitation, the leaders said.
Both the leaders claimed that the state government had failed to address the problem of floods in the state. "Mere helicopter sorties would not help. They (the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government) need to tell us that what they have done for the flood control. If they do not have vision for the same, we can help them out," Bishnoi said, demanding that adequate compensation be announced to those affected due to floods.

Miffed over 'non-action' against the senior police officials of Hisar, whom they held responsible for lathicharge of June 12, wherein 20 agitating BJP and HJC workers received injuries, Sharma said they would seek criminal case the officers under Section 174 (non-attendance in obedience to an order from public servant) of Indian Penal Code.
The alliance leaders also announced that they would launch a door-to-door campaign in the state to highlight the Congress 'misrule' in the state and ongoing 'corruption' in the government.
The leaders also charged that there appeared strong evidence of 'favouritsm' in the recruitment of junior basic teachers in the state. "In the cases of 300 teachers, their earlier signatures and those on examination date do not match. How could this happen? It should be investigated," they demanded.
