JK poll: 63 enter fray on last day

As many as 63 aspirants entered the fray for six assembly seats in Ganderbal and Rajouri districts as filing of nominations for the second phase of the staggered J&K election drew to close on Wednesday evening.

A maximum of 19 candidates entered the electoral race from Rajouri followed by Kalakote (13) and Darhal (10), Election Commission sources said.

With today's nominations, altogether 90 candidates had submitted their documents for the second round of the 7-phased election.

The scrutiny will take place tomorrow and withdrawals can be effected till November eight.
