"We reject the notice of the Chief Minister to attend his meeting on 12th July without fixing any agenda," JKNPP Chairman Bhim Singh said in a statement in Srinagar.

Singh welcomed the unanimous decision of the Working Committee of the party, chaired by Harsh Dev Singh to boldly reject the "notice and not a formal invite" by the Chief Minister to attend his meeting on Monday.

Singh also sought the Prime Minister's intervention to defuse the current crisis in the Valley saying it would be in "the interest of security and integrity of the country".

Singh also asked the state governor NN Vohra to impose Governor's Rule in the state to "save the innocent Kashmiris from further death and destruction."

The invited parties and groups include National Conference, Indian National Congress, PDP, BJP, Panthers Party, CPI-M, CPI, Peoples Democratic Forum, Democratic Party (Nationalist), Bahujan Samaj Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Nationalist Congress Party.

Peoples Democratic Party on Friday decided to stay away from the meeting calling it a "purposeless exercise".
