“We do not want to give any chance to the Indian security forces to use guns against our people under the ruse of combating militants,” Salahuddin said in an interview with a local news agency the Kashmir News Service.

“We have ordered all our cadres to dump their guns and take part in the civilian movement. The Government of India is perturbed by the massive involvement of people in the movement for azadi. Its security forces are looking for some excuse to use its might to crush the movement,” he said, “and we will not them any chance”.

Salahuddin, who also heads the Hizbul Mujahideen, said the gun would be used in forested areas and isolated places only.
