Three persons, including a bus driver Raghbinder, travellers Kishori Lal and Kishna, were killed while several others injured in the attack by six armed terrorists while Joshi was heading a Tiranga Yatra for hoisting the tri-colour at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on January 26.

Kapurthala SSP Rajiv Ahir told reporters the case was closed in 1993 as the assailants were untraced. It was said all the six assailants were dead. Police will not hesitate in re-opening the case if it was found any of the assailants was still alive, he said.

Ahir gave this answer when his attention was drawn to the rehabilitation of KLF terrorist Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, who was earlier presumed dead.
