Police have caught a civil judge for sending obscene messages to Anju Singh a teacher in Classic Law College, Bareilly.

Police have caught a civil judge for sending obscene messages to Anju Singh a teacher in Classic Law College, Bareilly.

The judge is yet to be taken into custody as the police have sought the permission of the Allahabad High Court.

“The Civil Judge (Junior Division) in Badaun district court Pramod Gangwar has sent the obscene SMS to the lady teacher. I have written to the high court as well as district judge Badaun, district and session court for permission to initiate action against Gangwar,” said IGP, Bareilly Zone, Bhanu Pratap Singh.

“The police have already lodged an FIR against Vivek Gupta, a teacher in Classic Law College, Bareilly. Gupta was also sending the obscene message to Anju Singh,” the IGP said, adding that Gupta was absconding’.

Anju Singh allegedly received the first message on the night of November 20 last year.

Anju informed the SP (crime) about the obscene message and he ordered an investigation. Later, they approached the IGP and he put the mobile number of Gangwar on surveillance.
