Jumpsuits are the latest ‘in’ thing. From top actresses such as Sonam Kapoor in a Stella McCartney and Sushmita Sen in a Lanvin strutting around in them to Paharganj hippies finding their comfort in linen pieces, this utility dress is finding it’s way to the wardrobes of fashion forward girls.

Many versions
A jumpsuit can be an off-shoulder, like a tube top, or with sleeves. The waist is either dropped down or high (just below the bust). Similarly, it can be either slouchy below your waist or simply flared till the hem.

Jump or dungaree?
Those new to this dress might get confused telling a dungaree from a jumpsuit. While both dress are single-piece, there’s a slight difference in the construction. “Well, a dungaree comes with suspenders (straps), has an apron-like flap in the front and it’s sides (till your waist) are open. It’s usually worn with a blouse, spaghetti or tube. While a jumpsuit is an outfit in itself and better not worn with a blouse, you can rather wear a jacket on top of it,” says designer Asmita Marwah.
