Couples in love have a number of mush days to celebrate their togetherness such as Friendship day, Valentine's Day and Rose Day, but now there is a wee bit of good news for couples who don’t see eye to eye, as June 2 has been crowned ‘International Break-Up Day.’
In honour of release of the film The Break-Up starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, Budweiser and Universal Pictures have decided that June 2 is a good day for people to break up.
A press release suggests that the holiday can be celebrated forever, and not just in conjunction with a summer movie premiere.
"For those women who just can't take one more day of their men leaving the toilet seat up and the guys sick to death of their ladies' nagging, there is no longer any need to suffer. For partners around the globe who have been waiting for just the right opportunity to say to their spouse, 'I can't take you anymore,' National Break-Up Day has arrived," Zap2it quoted the big bosses from both the corporate entities, as saying.
