The BJP's Karnataka state executive beginning in Bangalore on Saturday will debate on organisational issues and formulate its strategy for the August 18 assembly by-election in five constituencies.

According to party sources, BJP president Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the two-day meet.

The performance of the party government led by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa would also come up for discussions, the sources said.

BJP has 114 members in the 225-member assembly excluding the Speaker.
