In a move to strengthen transparency, all the employees of Water Resources Department in Karnataka have declared their assets and liabilities.

All the 4645 employees have made the declaration, Karnataka Water Resources Minister H K Patil told reporters here.

"It was the first time that all the employees of a government department had done so in the country," he said.

Details of the declaration would be available in nine volumes of 3581 pages and copies would be available at the rate of Rs five per page, he added.
