Karunanidhi turns 87

DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi turned 87 today. After planting a sapling to mark the occasion, Karunanidhi paid homage at the memorials of his mentors, DMK founder C N Annadurai and rationalist leader E V R Periyar.

After planting a sapling to mark the occasion, Karunanidhi paid homage at the memorials of his mentors, DMK founder C N Annadurai and rationalist leader E V R Periyar.

He later cut a cake at his residence and was joined by family members including his sons, Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and union Fertiliser Minister M K Alagiri.

Karunanidhi is scheduled to meet party workers at DMK headquarters Anna Arivalayam later in the day.
