Afghanistan has allayed Pakistan's fears on involvement of the Indian consulates in activities against Pakistan through its soil.
"I will never allow my country's soil to be used against brotherly Pakistan," the visiting Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai said while jointly addressing a press conference with his Pakistani counterpart General Pervez Musharraf after formal talks in Islamabad late on Wednesday night.
He said, "Afghanistan's relations with India will in no way affect ties with Pakistan".
Karzai, who arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon, was commenting on reports published in Pakistani newspapers that the country's intelligence agencies have found proof of the involvement of Indian consulates in Afghanistan, in creating unrest in southwestern Balochistan.
The two leaders also condemned the publication of blasphemous sketches of the Prophet Mohammad in the European newspapers.
"Nobody has the right to hurt sentiments of Muslims in the name of press freedom," they told reporters here.
They also urged the world leaders to stand with Muslims in condemning the outrageous act.
They said, the two sides have agreed to fight together against terrorism to strengthen regional peace and security.
"Intelligence agencies and armed forces of the two countries should work together to uproot terrorism, which is our common enemy," President Musharraf said.
