Kashi astrologers want Modi to file papers on April 17, Kejri to follow suit
Astrologers in Kashi have come up with April 17 as the most auspicious day for the BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi to file his nomination papers.
The filing of nomination papers is expected to be a grand affair as AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal is also likely to file nomination papers the day Modi files his nomination.
The process will begin on April 17 for the last phase of polling and will continue till April 24. Voting for 18 parliamentary constituencies of eastern UP will take place on May 12.

A senior BJP leader said on condition of anonymity: “We solicited advice from astrologers for the best auspicious date for filing Modi’s nomination papers. They have advised April 17.”
The local BJP unit also wants his close aide Amit Shah to follow the astrologers while finalising the date on Wednesday.
In all probability, Modi will arrive in Varanasi on April 16, a day before filing nomination papers. But if can’t file on April 17, astrologers say April 20 and 22 are two other auspicious dates.
This decision has also been taken to make sure that the party has enough time to make corrections in Modi’s papers if problems crop up on the first day of filing papers.
A three-member BJP team has arrived from Gujarat on Sunday evening to oversee the preparations for the process.
