DIGNITARIES FROM various fields would be honoured with the ‘Kashi Ratna Award’ at a function to be organised here in Varanasi on June 11.
The ‘Kashi Ratna Alankaran Samaroh’, would be organised under the auspices of Jeevandeep Educational Group on its school premises in Badalalpur area.
Talking to media persons, here on Thursday, chairman of the Jeevandeep Charitable Trust and director of the Singh Medical Research Centre, Dr Ashok Kumar Singh said state minister for Public Works Department and Energy Shiv Pal Singh Yadav would be the chief guest whereas state minister for infertile land development and water resource Om Prakash Singh would preside over the ceremony. Dr Singh said special guest of an award ceremony would be state minister Virendra Singh, state minister Lalai Yadav, chairman of Gau-seva Commission KP Yadav and MP from Lakhimpur Kheri Ravi Verma.
He added those to be felicitated were CM Singh (member of Public Service Commission), Prof Pankaj (member of Public Service Commission), SMA Kazmi, Prof KP Singh (Vice-Chancellor of Purvanchal University), Virendra Mohan Gupta (Editor of a Hindi newspaper), Naveen Rungata (MD of Rungta Group of Industries), Dr PB Singh (Professor and HoD of Urology, BHU, Prof Anju Sharan Upadhyay (Head, Department of Political Science, BHU) and Ferzand Ahmed of India Today.
