"We welcome the Prime Minister to the state. His announcement of employment and rehabilitation package for Kashmiri Pandits in 2006 shows his concern for the community but the state government has done little to implement it," All Party Migrant Coordination Committee Chairman Vinod Pandit told reporters in Jammu.

Alleging that the work on Jagati township project announced by Singh as part of his package for providing better housing facilities to members of the displaced community was going at a snail's pace, he said several deadlines set for its completion have been overstepped by the state government.

"Kashmiri Pandits are being given lip service only. Be it the Chief Minister or any other state leader, nobody wants to implement the PM's package for the community", he said, adding that Singh should himself hold a review meeting and pull up the government over its "failure" to implement the package.
