One of the most prominent name for translations in India, Katha in its decade-and-a-half of existence has established itself as one of the most exciting publishing houses.
Katha has consistently sought to bring stories from the differnet languages and dialects of India to wider audiences. It has honed the fine art of telling the short story - be it in the epics, the mythologies, the folktales or in the more recent writings.
Started in 1988 by Geeta Dharmarajan, who has been its driving force since inception, Katha is a nonprofit organization working in the areas of story, storytelling and story in culturelinking and education.
