Interestingly, Katrina is ready to star with her off-screen love in an untitled Sohail Khan production, to be directed by David Dhawan. In the Capital to launch a jewellery boutique, Katrina is revved up about the movie. “It is a romantic comedy. What’s interesting is that it’s not a love triangle but a quadrangle.” The story has been written by Dhawan and scripted by Rumi Jaffrey. “David’s son Rohit, who is studying filmmaking at the New York University, helped us take the idea forward,” adds Katrina.
After burning her fingers with Kaizad Gustad’s Boom that went bust, the lissom beauty is playing safe. “I did Malleswari, a Telugu film, a year ago (for which she was reportedly paid USD 2,17,391) with co-star Venkatesh. Learning kathak for the last year and a half has brought her closer to understanding Indian culture she says. “I’m even taking Hindi tuition to improve my diction. I can understand the language fully but can’t speak fluently,” she adds.
