As Congress' K Babu sought to move an adjournment motion, Law Minister M Vijayakumar objected to the Opposition's claim that the state has become a haven for terrorists.

The uproar in the house followed the recent arrests of persons with terror links, including Abdul Haleem.

Haleem, arrested on Wednesday in connection with bomb blasts in Kerala, is suspected of having links with terror groups in Jammu and Kashmir and Hyderabad.

Amid a heated debate, the ruling and opposition members accused each other of trying to make a political capital out of the issue.

Seeking to embarrass the Left front, opposition members raked up the issue of an understanding between the LDF and PDP led by Adbul Nasser Madani in Lok Sabha polls and alleged that those arrested for terror links had connections with Madani.
