Who will stop VS?
The CPM-led LDF is set to form the government and laddoos are being distributed in the party HQ. One question, though, is yet to be settled: who will be the CM? Will V.S. Achuthanandan, 83, make it to the hot seat? Though he campaigned as the unofficial chief ministerial candidate, his selection is likely to be opposed by the reformists in the party led by Pinarayi Vijayan. The politburo, however, may back the old apparatchik. And if he comes to power, Malayalis can forget all about the Bengal brand of reforms and settle for economics, VS-style.
