Maharashtra revenue minister Eknath Khadse on Friday assured appropriate action in the incident of a major security lapse during the swearing-in of Cabinet in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi inside Wankhede Stadium on October 31.

"We need to conduct an inquiry about this man. Where did he come from and who he is. Some unknown person comes so close to the Prime Minister... this is not good. I will talk to the chief minister about this and an appropriate action will be taken," Khadse said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.

A man claiming to be a BJP activist had managed to gain entry into the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis without possessing a valid pass and even reached the dais where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sitting.

The man named Atul Mishra was also seen clicking pictures with those present, including Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and CM Devendra Fadnavis.
