In the dock for taking on the government on its various decisions, Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka on Tuesday resorted to cricket analogy.
“I am a batsman in a match where umpire is totally biased,” he wrote in a protest letter to state chief secretary PK Chaudhery.
The Haryana government is in the process of serving Khemka a second charge sheet for alleged irregularities in wheat seeds sale during his tenure as the managing director of Haryana Seed Development Corporation from October 15, 2012 to April 4, 2013.
“I have been humiliated publicly for doing my job,” added the 11-page letter sent on Monday.
Khemka alleged that he was being hounded for exposing principal secretary SS Dhillon’s role in granting a commercial colony licence to Sky Light Hospitality, owned by Robert Vadra. Khemka said Dhillon, who had approved the latest charge sheet against him, could not “be expected to be fair in dealing with my case”.
“It will be the first time in the state that an IAS officer of 23-year seniority will be put to charge sheet without proper examination of the issues on your file,” Khemka wrote to Chaudhery.
Khemka held that Roshan Lal, principal secretary (agriculture), who recommended action against him, was peeved at his filing a CBI complaint against irregularities in the HSDC.
