The former Delhi CM announced that he would do proper ‘prayschit’ for his association with Advani and for his failure to get the temple constructed.

Khurana said he had written a letter of ‘prayschit’ to Lord Ram, which he had left at the temple of the Ramlala today. He, however, refused to disclose content of the letter.

Talking to reporters at the VVIP Guest House here on Friday after a ‘darshan’ of Ramlala at the makeshift temple at Ayodhya, Khurana said the Ram Janmbhoomi could not be constructed due to the rigid attitude of Advani, who was more interested in continuing in power than the temple.

Khurana disclosed that a formula had almost been worked out for the temple construction but was rejected by Advani for unknown reasons.

Condemning the apathy of the Delhi Government and the Centre, Khurana regretted that nobody was serious about the genuine problems of the Delhi business community. He underlined the need for getting huge plots of government land vacated from powerful lobby of influential people, who had illegally constructed hundreds of multistorey complexes all over Delhi in connivance with the government officials.
