Talking to newsmen here on Saturday the PCC chief said mystery was shrouding over the release of the boy.

Questioning the police theory about the rescue operation, Khurshid said the possibility of big kidnapping shark with links in the government could not be ruled out.

He alleged that it was indeed shameful that government was involved in whole drama. However another senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi directly accused the chief minister for conspiracy in the case.

Alvi said the role of the police was suspected and the chief minister should clarify it. Khurshid said the government had been contributing to the fast deterioration of law and order in the state.

Expressing concern over plight of drought-hit people in Bundelkhand, Khurshid said the state government had concealed the actual situation from the centre. He said Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said that he had not received any report from UP about Bundelkhand. Khurshid said the UP Congress had now asked the centre to rush help to protect the people.

The state Congress on Friday summoned a meeting of Dalits leaders to chalk out action plan for this segments and also review the preparations for jail bharo movement from November 20.
