As per the agreement, Galileo, which has access to 65 per cent of the IATA travel agent base in India and connects close to about 50,000 agents across the world, will enable Kingfisher Airlines to further strengthen its width and depth of penetration, a company release said.

"The travel agent plays an important role in helping the air travellers choose his airlines and with Kingfisher Airlines' strong expansion plans, we are pleased to leverage Galileo's global reach and travel agents," Mallya said.

With the agreement, Kingfisher Airlines' fares and inventory would be available on the Galileo global distribution system platform, he added.
