Germany striker Miroslav Klose is set to join Bayern Munich, sooner or later.

"I have decided to play for Bayern Munich from 2008," Klose told German television after Germany's 2-1 win over Slovakia in Hamburg in a European Championship qualifying match on Wednesday.
"Should it work out that I can already play for Bayern this year, that would of course please me," he said. "That's what I would prefer."
Bayern has also said it wants the striker now, but has not been able to agree on a transfer fee with Werder Bremen. Klose still has a year on his contract with Werder.
Bayern also has said it was not willing to pay a huge sum for a player who will become a free agent at the end of the next season.
Klose led last year's World Cup with five goals but is going through a slump and has not scored for Germany in nine months. He scored only three goals for Werder Bremen after the winter break.
