Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda is travelling to New Delhi amid speculation that he will be discussing the political situation in the state with political bigwigs in New Delhi.

His trip comes in the face of reports that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is trying to dislodge the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in the state.

But Koda said he was going to New Delhi to see ailing mother.

He will meet Congress leaders and Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad over the functioning of his government. The two parties prop up Kodi's government.

Half dozen Congress legislators met Congress leader Ahmad Patel on Thursday and expressed their dismay over the functioning of the state government.

Jharkhand Congress leaders are unhappy over transfers and postings, saying the ministers took arbitrary decisions without taking their views. Even the RJD has similar complaints.

The NDA is reportedly trying to topple the government with the help of a disgruntled Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, whose top leader Shibu Soren has been jailed on murder charge.
