Kumara Sangakarra is a highly talented left-handed strokemaker, who has taken over the mantle of donning the keeper gloves from Romesh Kaluwitharna. During the earlier part of his career, he was considered more as a 'batsman who could keep', than a specialist one. Even though his first class career was modest, selectors blooded him to the international arena, where he oozed class. He has a huge responsibility in the side now, batting at No.3 position.
