Karnataka Chief Minister-designate HD Kumaraswamy cancelled his visit to New Delhi on Wednesday to meet top BJP leaders.
Kumaraswamy told reporters in Bangalore that he was "a bit tired" after the hectic schedule in the past fews days and asserted that no significance should be attached to the cancellation of the visit.
He was earlier slated to meet BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani and Rajnath Singh at New Delhi.
Kumaraswamy is scheduled to meet his father and JDS supremo HD Devegowda in Bangalore on Thursday and seek his "blessings" ahead of the swearing in of the JDS-BJP coalition government on February 3.
Sources close to Devegowda said the former Prime Minister is steadfast and has made it amply clear that he is against JD(S) joining hands with the BJP.
