Kyrgyzstan may close US air base

PM Bakiyev said Kyrgyzstan may ask US to do the needful if a new accord on use of the base is not agreed by June 1.

Kyrgyzstan could ask Washington to remove a US air base in the Central Asian country if a new accord on use of the base is not agreed by June 1, President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said on Wednesday.
