RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav recently launched a scathing attack on the BJP led government NDA government at the Centre, saying the party’s days in power were numbered. He also announced the RJD would contest the coming Rajasthan Assembly elections from a few seats.
Talking to media persons in the city, Yadav said he was on a mission to uproot the BJP from power. In town on a visit to attend a programme by Jain Acharya Hemendra Suri near Jalore, the former Bihar Chief Minister said he had the blessing of the “real saints” to help his purpose.
“I have launched a mission against the BJP. There is a tradition in our culture to seek the blessings of saints before starting an important job, and the visit to Jodhpur is in this connection. I am visiting the real saints of India as places like Ayodhya have been made a haven of fake saints,” Yadav said.
Condemning the NDA government policies, Yadav said it had failed on all fronts. “Today, even the country’s borders are not safe. The Prime Minister had promised employment to youths, and instead, the government is limiting job opportunity,” he added.
Though he did not disclose any numbers, the RJD chief said his party would contest “a few” seats in the coming State Assembly election. He further denied reports the party was planning to pitch a eunuch against the BJP’s chief ministerial aspirant Madan Lal Khurana in Delhi. “Why would we want to do that when we have so many real men in the party,” he quipped.

“Marwaris have so many qualities that nothing can threaten them. They can migrate and earn a living anywhere in world, even on the moon,” he said.
