Lalu turns 63; takes pledge to dethrone Nitish

RJD chief Lalu Prasad turned 63 today and utilised the occasion to take a pledge to defeat the NDA government in the state headed by Nitish Kumar.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad turned 63 today and utilised the occasion to take a pledge to defeat the NDA government in the state headed by Nitish Kumar.

"On this occasion, we pledge to overthrow the NDA Government of Nitish Kumar," he told mediapersons who had turned up at his residence to greet him.

RJD is the main opposition party in Bihar where Assembly elections are due later this year.

Prasad was greeted not only by his partymen, but also LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan, who is contesting the Rajya Sabha biennial elections from Bihar as a candidate of RJD-LJP combine.

The RJD chief cut a big cake in the presence of his wife Rabri Devi, Paswan and several RJD leaders at his residence.
