Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will join Anna Hazare at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday during the social activist's protest against the Narendra Modi government's controversial land acquisition ordinance, deputy CM Manish Sisodia said.
The two pillars of the 2011-12 anti-corruption movement will unite forces once again after they parted ways following differences over Kejriwal's decision to plunge into electoral politics.
"Arvind and some other AAP leaders will be joining Anna for the protest at 3pm on Tuesday. We have been against the ordinance since the very beginning and have made our objections very clear. This ordinance is very dangerous for farmers," said Sisodia.
On Monday, Hazare accused the Modi government of being indifferent towards farmers as he launched a two-day protest against the controversial land acquisition ordinance in the Capital.
He had also hinted at a bigger agitation at the Ramlila ground if the government did not take the land ordinance back saying he will take the movement to each and every district of the country.
The December ordinance made significant changes to the UPA government's land acquisition act including removal of a consent clause for acquiring land for five areas – industrial corridors, PPP projects, rural infrastructure, affordable housing and defence.
The ordinance is a temporary order that needs the approval of both Houses of Parliament to come into force and will lapse if not ratified in this Budget session.
Hazare and his team had earlier said no representatives of any political party will be allowed on stage during the two-day protest in the Capital as parties manipulate such situations against each other.

"They will be not be allowed to share the stage because if I allow, then it will become a party event. They are free to join the crowd. No one can stop them."
Other AAP leaders likely to join Hazare on stage are Sisodia and Yogendra Yadav. Kejriwal and Sisodia met the 77-year-old activist at Delhi's Maharashtra Sadan, where he is staying.
Around 2,000 people visited Jantar Mantar on Monday while close to 200, mostly those who had come from Maharashtra and support all Hazare movements, stayed there through the day, police said.
Kejriwal's participation is expected to draw hundreds of protesters to Jantar Mantar in the heart of Delhi for the sit-in.
