THIS YEAR’S national Lata Mangeshkar Samman Samaroh may have free entry for public and the event would also be sponsored. Discussions on the above issues were held at a meeting of the organising committee held here yesterday.

Divisional Commissioner Ashok Das presided over the meeting. The list of guests, invitees, celebrities and artists was considered in the meeting. Also, the committee members discussed the choice of venue from among Bada Nehru Stadium, Chhota Nehru Stadium and Gandhi Hall.

The officers analysed the expenditure of the last year’s programme. District Collector Vivek Aggarwal, Municipal Commissioner P Narhari, Indore Development Authority (IDA) CEO C B Singh and Additional Collector Rameshwar Gupta finalised some of the issues related to the event.

Organising committee member Harshad Dholakia, Swatantra Kumar Ojha, Mahesh Chandra Shastri, Prahlad Rai Choudhary, Dr Mangal Singh, Sudhir Dandekar, Umesh Malhar, Rama Awasthi, R K Verma and Food Controller B L Kasat participated in the meeting.
