VVS Laxman on Tuesday received maximum nominations in the individual category after he was chosen for ODI Player, Test Player and Player of the Year by the ICC Cricket Awards selection panel.

Vice-captain Rahul Dravid and India's first Test triple centurion Virender Sehwag were nominated for the Test Player of the Year as well as the Player of the Year awards.
Sachin Tendulkar was in line for the ODI Player of the Year while pace sensation Irfan Pathan got himself picked for the Emerging Player of the Year, a statement from the ICC said on Tuesday.
The nominations — by the five-man ICC Awards selection panel comprising Richie Benaud, Ian Botham, Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Holding and Barry Richards — meant that India was one of the three countries to have players picked for each of the individual awards.
Umpire of the Year, Test Team, ODI Team and Spirit of Cricket are the other four categories in which awards will be presented.
The voting period is from Aug 1 to 31 during when each of the ICC Awards voting academy, including 50 highly respected cricketers, will cast a 3-2-1 vote in each category.
