Lazio and club president Claudio Lotito lodged an appeal on Tuesday, the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) said on Wednesday.
In a ruling by a sports appeals tribunal last month, Lazio was banned from European club competition and docked 11 points in this season's Serie A championship. Lotito was barred from soccer for 2 1/2 years.
Juventus last week appealed its sanctions to CONI after it was stripped of its last two Serie A titles and demoted to Serie B with a 17-point penalty.
The two other clubs sanctioned in the sports trial, AC Milan and Fiorentina, are considering making an appeal to CONI. Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have also threatened to go to Italy's civil courts if their appeals are unsuccessful.
CONI's board of conciliation and arbitration is the highest body in Italian sports justice and has the power to uphold or rescind sanctions in sports disputes. Recourse to the board is mandatory before any appeals to the civil courts. A ruling is expected by August 25.
Earlier this week, Italian soccer federation prosecutors ordered Serie B club Arezzo and Serie A side Reggina to face a sports tribunal on match-fixing charges.
Arezzo was charged Tuesday for allegedly currying favors from a referee and a soccer federation official, who were also indicted. Reggina, along with club president Lillo Foti, were indicted on Monday for allegedly trying to have friendly referees assigned to the team's games.

Prosecutors in Naples, Rome, Parma and Turin are also conducting separate criminal probes into sports fraud, illegal betting and false bookkeeping _ but any indictments could take months.
