In a letter sent to the head of the Commission Justice (retired) RH Zaidi on November 4, LDA Vice Chairman BB Singh has drawn his attention towards the problem being by the LDA allottees in the absence of property records bulk of which are lying with the Commission.

Of the 40,000 odd property records available with it, the civic agency has already handed over 27,000 files to the Commission for investigation purposes. Set up post direct allotment of plots to 28 VIPs in Vipul Khand of Gomti Nagar, the one man probe panel’s brief is to inquire into the allotment procedure/norms followed by development authorities all over the State.

Giving reference to his earlier letter to the Commission (October 17) in this connection, the LDA VC has appended copies of news reports highlighting the inconvenience being faced by allottees, who are unable to get their work done.

Ironically, the files of 28 plots allotted directly in Vipul Khand that also figures as one of the terms of reference for the inquiry, were sent back to LDA by the Commission as a PIL in the matter is pending before the Supreme Court.
